VETERINARIANS

We specialise in helping veterinary businesses owners navigate the complexities of buying, selling and/or operating a practice in Australia, including understanding and complying with the specific requirements of the relevant veterinary business regulator.

Our experience

We are well known in both the healthcare and legal industry for our expertise in healthcare matters.

Our director, Sarah Stoddart, has extensive experience working within the healthcare sector.

In addition, our Associate, Michelle Neil, has over 20 years of experience in the veterinary industry as a veterinary nurse, trainer, nursing manager, and practice manager. Michelle has worked in general practice and emergency as well as wildlife hospitals. Michelle also serves on the Australian Veterinary Palliative Care Advisory Council.

We collaborate closely with veterinary business brokers, financial advisors and accountants to help our clients achieve their desired outcomes.

We are familiar with the challenges of owning a veterinary practice. Whether you are starting your journey as a new practice owner (either alone or with others) or managing the sale of a long-standing practice, we understand what you are experiencing. We also recognise the difficulties associated with leasing arrangements, employment issues that can arise in a highly stressful industry, and the stress of managing industry regulators.

Our experience beyond transactions

In addition to handling the purchase and sale of practices, lease agreements and employment law matters, we frequently assist veterinary business owners with ownership agreements (such as partnership agreements, shareholders agreements and unitholders agreements) and improving business operations, as well as providing advice on regulatory matters.

Our deep understanding of the healthcare and veterinary industries means you our clients can trust us to provide considered, informed and practical advice, and to deliver the best possible outcomes for their practice.
